Understanding Headache
Headaches are recurring attacks of moderate to severe pain that is throbbing or pulsing, often on one side of the head. Attacks typically last from 4 to 72 hours and are often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. Some people may experience an 'aura' before or during the headache, which can include visual disturbances or other neurological symptoms.
